Jane Savage

Jane Savage has 37 years of experience in the Canadian energy industry focused in fuel supply and trading, oil refining and advocacy at the federal level. She has led organizations in an executive capacity and brings a deep understanding of the commercial drivers, technical capacity of, and the responsibility of Canadian energy companies to be leaders in driving the energy transition.

Jane most recently was Vice President at Parkland Corporation, leading the Supply and Distribution team. Parkland is Canada’s largest distributor of liquid fuels, and retails under the brands Chevron, Pioneer, Esso and Ultramar. 

Before joining Parkland in 2011, Jane was the President and CEO if the Canadian Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (CIPMA), now CEMA (Canadian Energy Marketers Association), a not-for-profit trade association and advocacy group representing non-major fuel marketers and distributors in Canada. In this capacity she was involved with climate related legislation including BC’s low carbon fuel standard and Canada’s national biofuels regulations.

Prior to 2002, she worked for Imperial Oil in both technical and business capacities at refineries across Canada, and in various positions in international commodity trading and supply. She led the energy futures trading group- a hedging operation for downstream crude oil acquisition and bulk fuel trading activities.

Jane is currently President of J.E. Savage and Associates, a consultancy based in Hamilton, Ontario.   

Jane holds an Honors Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston and a Masters of Business Administration from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, and previously in Alberta.
